JEC COMPOSITES AWARDS 2000: the WINNERS

The JEC AWARDS 2000 have been awarded on the occasion of JEC COMPOSITES SHOW 2000, on April 18, at the CNIT Paris-La Défense. The competition was open to companies from all countries as long as they had developed an exceptional "composite solution" in terms of technical quality, market openings and the degree of excellence of the customer and supplier partnership., in four categories: TRANSPORT, CONSTRUCTION, INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS, PROCESS-EQUIPMENT & LEISURE.

Winner TRANSPORT Category

HALMATIC Ltd and their partners Saint-Gobain Vetrotex, Euro-Projects Utd, Chomarat, Lloyd's Register of Shipping, IKV (Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung), Thermocomp Norfrig, LM Glassfiber, GT Glassfiber:
Attack boat and rescue boat hull (glass-reinforced PP).

Giant beam cover for the water industry

Ex aequo with

Pultruded beams for bridge deck.


Winners INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS Category

COMPOSITES AQUITAINE and their partners Institut Français du Pétrole & Pride Forasol:
Reinforced steel tubes (carbon fibre-polyamide) for oil exploration.

Winner PROCESS-EQUIPMENT & LEISURE Category
